Making a Difference in the City

Imagine spending your weekend knee-deep in the Bronx River, surrounded by new and old friends working together to protect and preserve beautiful spaces. You don’t have to leave NYC to find wildlife.

Christodora’s award-winning New Youth Conservationists (NYC) program meets on weekends to perform weeding, planting, and clean-up tasks, conduct ecological research and enjoy field trips to natural sites around the city.

We are able to escape buildings and buses…to step outside, clean up a place our entire community shares, and feel we have made a difference.
