School Field Trips

Discovering a love for the great outdoors

Manice Education Center (MEC) offers 3-day field trips in the spring and fall to connect the classroom learning of our Winter Ecology Program and the many opportunities for learning and growth in a wilderness classroom.

The MEC curriculum is tailored for each school and focuses on ecology and wilderness survival, as well as leadership training in communication and critical thinking. Our lessons provide an engaging hands-on enrichment to the NYC Department. of Education Scope and Sequence and help improve academic proficiency in science, math, and analytical skills.
