In the Classroom, in the City, in the Country

“Specifically because of these programs I am going to study environmental science in college—and I ran for, and was elected, president of my senior class!”student
Christodora has been changing the lives of urban youth for over a hundred years. What began as a settlement house in 1897 is now an “ecosystem” of programs providing support and learning for middle and high school students—in public school classrooms, in natural areas around the city, and at our camp and other wilderness sites around the country.

Our in-city programs take place during school and after school, while our wilderness programs take the students out of the city, on weekends and during school vacations, to our Manice Education Center in the Berkshire Mountains of Massachusetts.
