Meet the Newest Members of the Christodora Team!

We are so excited to introduce Anna Hernandez-Krol and Bella Klosterman, the newest members of the team here at Christodora! We asked them a couple things about their roles and their lives.

Anna Hernandez-Krol

In your own words, what is your role here at Christodora?

As director of the Manice Education Center, my role is to facilitate the safe and effective operations of programs while offering support to our staff –empowering their confidence in their roles as leaders, organizers, and contributors.

What are you most excited about regarding your new role?

I am thrilled to embark on this new chapter with Christodora, where I look forward to collaborating with our dedicated team committed to fostering community growth and trailblazing a bright future across all facets of the entire organization.

What’s your favorite kind of bird and why?

My two favorite bird species are associated with fond memories.

  • The Carolina Wren-Thryothorus ludovicianus. I had one live on my bedroom windowsill for months and we developed a peaceful coexistence.

  • The Cedar Waxwing- Bombycilla cedrorum. Our staff and students at MEC have witnessed how they like to follow our canoes down the Battenkill and CT Rivers :)

Bella Klosterman

In your own words, what is your role here at Christodora?

As the recruitment and outreach coordinator, I work closely with families to get students ready for camp, and I also organize the New Youth Conservationists Saturday program.

What are you most excited about regarding your new role?

I am excited about New Youth Conservationists and how we get to experience the turning of the seasons mindfully. Getting out every weekend, and especially back to some of the same spots, will allow us to really tune in to the incoming Spring. (Spring is my favorite season!)

What’s your favorite kind of bird and why?

My favorite bird is a red winged blackbird (Agelaius phoeniceus), for sentimental reasons. When I was younger I used to go birding with my mom in parts of Eastern Oregon. The red wing blackbird was the first bird I learned to identify – its iconic plumage makes it quite rewarding for beginning birders!
